WebMail Support

WebMail - webmail.2z.net

Special Features

  • You can access your emails from any computer (while traveling or at work).
  • You can remove large emails that are preventing the rest of your emails from downloading.
1) In the Folder List you can view your Address Book, create/view sub-folders, and Create new messages. The Address Book in WebMail only has email addresses you added here. You can not access your Address Book from Outlook Express on your computer.
2) The right column shows the size of the attachment. We often get calls that their Outlook Express has locked up and they can not get any new emails. Or, they are getting the same emails multiple times. This is caused by large attachments. Someone has sent a large attachment that is too big for Outlook Express to download. On a dialup connection, this limit is usually around 1,200K - 1,500. Anything larger than this will not download to your computer; you will need to delete it from here. You may be able to open the email in WebMail, download the attachments individually, then delete the email.

3) To delete an email it is a 2 step process.

  1. Check the box next to the email(s) you want to delete and click the Delete at the top of the column. This marks the email with a line thru the email (See 4). This is similar to deleting a file on your computer, it sends it to the Recycle Bin.
  2. Once you have deleted the email(s), click Purge Deleted (see 3). This will permanently removed the email from the server. Once the Purge Deleted is clicked, the emails can not be recovered.
5) WebMail will color code your emails to help you. The colors may vary, depending on the Themes you have chosen the the Options. An read message will be white, and have not an icon of an envelope (see 5) .
6) An unread message will have a light colored background, in this case light green, and have a icon of an envelope. An email that you have replied to or forwarded, will be a darker color.
For help on all of the features of WebMail, click on the Help in Webmail.

The WebMail does have some limitations.

  1. WebMail can not open emails that are larger than 10M (10,000K). If you have an email that is this size or larger, you will need to delete it and have the person resize the attachment and resend the email.
  2. The larger your mailbox is, on the server, the slower WebMail will open. This does not effect how many emails you have in your Outlook Express, only what is still on the server. If you only use WebMail, please keep your mailbox clean.
